Most headlamps are flashlights strapped to your head: one narrow beam you have to aim. That works on a trail. It doesn't work under a sink, inside an engine bay or in a stall before sunrise, where you need to see the whole job at once.
HaloBeam does one thing well. A 230° light strip lights everything in front of you, a side spotlight reaches the far fence, and a wave sensor lets you switch it on or off without touching it with greasy hands.
